Cleaning and healthcare: which equipment to choose?

When it comes to healthcare environments, a judicious choice of equipment is the first step to avert the risk of cross-contamination.

When it comes to healthcare environments, a judicious choice of equipment is the first step to avert the risk of cross-contamination and minimise the spread of viruses and bacteria, protecting the health of patients and healthcare personnel.

Choosing the trolley

There are at least three reasons why TTS's Magic trolleys are the ideal solution. Firstly, the modular design allows them to be customised according to need, giving rise to countless configurations. They also excel in safety: the frames clearly separate the various modules, preventing contamination between the washing, storage and waste collection areas, while doors and walls prevent chemicals and potentially contaminated materials from coming into contact with users. Finally, they are made using premium high-density polypropylene to achieve smooth surfaces that are easy to clean and disinfect and resistant to all types of disinfectants.

When choosing the equipment to equip the trolleys, basic principles must necessarily be taken into account to reduce the risk of cross-contamination: use a clean mop for each area and avoid hand contact with dirt. Based on this assumption, the Magic trolley should definitely include the Dosely soaking station in order to be able to prepare the mops on demand while ensuring maximum effectiveness of the chemical. The double dispenser version allows the management of two different degrees of risk and respective detergents, adjustable from 50 to 350 ml. Equipping the trolley with Pockety then allows used mops to be unhooked, avoiding contact with dirt, viruses and bacteria, thus ensuring maximum hygiene throughout the process. Lastly, by accessorising the trolley with Plug Lampo, efficiency is further increased: the immediate attachment and release system allows a single handle to be used with all TTS equipmentreleasing the frames on the trolley without any hand contact with contaminated surfaces.

Choosing the textiles

TTS microfibres clean in depth, without being limited to visible dirt. These include Allice Eco hand cloth and Microred mop, whose effectiveness is proven: analysis by a specialised external laboratory revealed a Coronavirus 229E removal rate of 99.9%. Microred is also effective against bacteria, the test conducted according to EN 16615:2015 showed a removal rate of up to 96.6%. Laboratory tests also confirm Exon's high performance, offering another valuable ally to rely on: the semi-disposable cloth removes 99% Coronavirus 229E and up to 94.2% of bacteria, allowing you to reduce the amount of detergent needed for disinfection.
