Cleaning for infection prevention: the TTS system

|

In the healthcare sector, cleaning is an integral part of prevention.

Reducing microbial load and limiting the spread of healthcare associated infections requires structured procedures and consistent tools. Over the years, TTS has developed specific systems for these environments thanks to extensive field experience in healthcare facilities. Participation in the German Commission for Hospital Hygiene and Infection Prevention, KRINKO, for the development of the DIN standard, which defines guidelines for proper sanitation, has further strengthened the knowledge base behind TTS systems.
magic

The trolley as a mobile clean station

The foundation of any effective procedure is a functional and accessible trolley. Not a simple logistical support, but an operational platform designed to organize, separate and control every stage of the process.

Magic trolleys are designed to reduce the risk of cross contamination, a key factor in high risk environments such as hospitals and long term care facilities. For this reason, there is a clear separation between the storage area, which must remain clean, and the washing and waste collection areas, which may be contaminated. Other key strengths of Magic trolleys include smooth, cavity free surfaces that facilitate sanitation and the possibility to close the trolley with doors and lids, protecting both users and operators. Modularity allows the trolley to be configured according to different risk levels and internal procedures.

dosely

On demand soaking directly on the trolley

Within this platform, Dosely integrates as a soaking station compatible with the Magic line. The principle is simple. One clean cloth for each area, soaked just before use. On demand soaking directly on the trolley preserves the effectiveness of active agents, avoids transporting damp cloths and reduces the risk of bacterial proliferation.

The cleaning solution is contained in a sealed tank and adjustable dosing from 50 to 350 ml ensures optimal saturation and consumption control.

Textile products used for floor cleaning are the most critical vector for potential microbial transmission, especially during the most delicate phase, disposal of used mops. Touch free systems such as Pockety, Uni System, Blik and Trilogy allow the used mop to be released without hand contact. The mop is dropped directly into the bucket or into the mesh bag integrated in the trolley, reducing the risk of virus and bacteria transmission.

Microfibra

Microfibre with measurable results

The trolley system is completed by high performance microfibres. Among the most suitable solutions are Microblue, Microred and Microsafe mops and the semi disposable Exon cloth. Laboratory tests conducted by an external institute have shown excellent microorganism removal even without detergents: 99.99 percent removal of Staphylococcus aureus ATCC 6538, Enterococcus hirae ATCC 10541 and Pseudomonas aeruginosa ATCC 15442, and of the fungus Candida albicans ATCC 10231. Specific tests also indicate effectiveness against Coronavirus 229E, with a 99.9 percent reduction for Microblue and Microred and 99 percent for Exon. These results are obtained in laboratory tests evaluating exclusively the mechanical action of the fibres, without the use of disinfectants, resulting in reduced chemical consumption and lower risk of selecting resistant microorganisms.

touch-free

An integrated system, replicable standards

The TTS Healthcare System starts from the trolley and integrates controlled soaking, textile management, touch free solutions and certified microfibre. A structured method built around a central platform. In environments where cleaning is part of care, the trolley becomes the tool that structures procedures, guides the operator and makes hygienic standards replicable over time.
