Cleaning that takes care of the environment
Reducing production and transport emissions, using recycled raw materials and production processes free of harmful substances are just some of the steps that can be taken to reduce the environmental impacts of cleaning.
Similarly, designing products that reduce the waste of resources such as water, chemicals and energy also reduces impact and running costs.
Another important aspect is lifecycle durability, which means resistance to wear and tear, alongside the issue of reparability, which is particularly important to prolong the useful life of products and prevent them from becoming waste in advance.
Certified sustainability
TTS is committed every day to creating solutions that make cleaning more effective and efficient, without being detrimental to the environment and health.
Unlike self-declarations that offer no real guarantees, the sustainability of TTS products is recognised by authoritative certifications issued by independent third parties after a thorough verification process.
TTS has also obtained certification of the system for calculating the carbon footprint of products, which makes it possible to quantify the greenhouse gas emissions associated with manufacture, transport, use and end-of-life disposal.
The company's environmental policies were rewarded by EcoVadis, which awarded TTS the Silver Medal, an important recognition of its commitment to an increasingly sustainable future.
Carbon Footprint Systematic Approach
TTS is the first company in Italy to achieve the certification of the Carbon Footprint Systematic Approach, the system that allows the environmental footprint of products to be calculated in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 14067:2018 standard.
Thanks to this important milestone, TTS is able to quantify the CO2e emissions for each phase of the life cycle of over 500 trolleys.
The extracted data made it possible to plan and implement emission offsetting programmes, making Magic the first carbon neutral trolley line.
Items certified Plastic Second Life
A wide range of TTS products are made of certified recycled plastic components PSV - Plastic Second Life.
The PSV offer includes robust and long-lasting multi-purpose trolleys, characterised by the possibility of creating countless configurations according to specific needs, and practical and compact wringer trolleys, ideal for cleaning small to medium-sized environments.
The PSV range also includes buckets available in different sizes and colours according to their use, and multiple durable and easy-to-clean dustbins, complete with coloured lids for separate waste collection.
EU Ecolabel-certified trolleys
EU Ecolabel-certified Magic trolleys stand for sustainability, safety and quality.
- Sustainable as they are made of at least 30% recycled plastic and designed to be easily disassembled to facilitate easy repair and recycling at end-of-life.
- Safe for people and the environment as they are produced without the use of metals that are harmful to human health and dangerous to ecosystems.
- Finally, resistant, stable and durable according to independent testing in accordance with EN 16121 and EN 14073.
EU Ecolabel-certified textiles
Several microfibre cloths and cotton mops have been awarded the EU Ecolabel, the European Union's environmental excellence label that identifies products with a lower environmental impact.
The prestigious label offers a unique guarantee to the consumer: it certifies the absence, or the presence within strict limits, of countless substances harmful to health and the environment, including lead, formaldehyde and biocides. It also certifies sustainability throughout the life cycle of the products and resistance over time to washing, rubbing and light.
Low microplastic release
The deterioration of synthetic textile fibres during machine washing contributes to the increased presence of microplastics in the environment, some of which subsequently enter the food chain with little known health effects.
Choosing wash-resistant textiles therefore helps to safeguard our planet and its inhabitants.
The Allice Eco multi-purpose cloths, the Tri Wet 1 double-sided mops and the Microriccio, Microblue, Microred, Soft Band, Microsafe and Ultrasafe mops have been tested by a specialised external laboratory and classified as having a low release of microplastics when washing textiles.
Durable and repairable products
TTS products are designed to withstand several years of professional use and the mechanisms are tested by recreating conditions of continuous, daily use.
For example, the Dosely on-demand soaking station has been tested for 207,000 repetitions and the tightness of the tanks containing the cleaning solution and the dosing chambers are regularly tested during assembly.
TTS is also committed to making spare parts of components that are subject to the most wear available at all times in order to further extend the life of the products.
